Slow Cookers from CuisinArt and Crockpot, and the Best Recipe Books

What’s a great gift for someone just out of college who isn’t yet much of a cook but wants to get better at making their own food and having guests over?  Other than the link to realgloss.com, give the gift of a slow cooker.  They are easy to use and make delicious food – all of the ingredients go in and with a little patience, you’re all done.

They can also be more affordable than investing in Le Cruset pieces while accomplishing many of the same goals.  Many of my friends have been introduced to the fun of cooking with these great appliances.
