The Le Creuset Cast Iron Soup pot is much like the Le Creuset Dutch oven but features a wider top and slimmer bottom. The soup pot is still great for making roux (maybe even better than the Dutch Oven) but also is specially crafted to cook soup.
The soup pot is very easy to stir because of its sloped nature, this allows for all different types of uses like chicken stir fry and risotto, both of which maybe more difficult in a Dutch oven.
What do you think?

You must see the Illy Francis Francis Espresso Machine on Amazon.com.
The red one shown below is sleek and modern but still has a very retro feel.
The X7 model was designed for the home barista – it is extremely easy to use and clean. This model uses espresso pods in the machine for a no hassle morning Latte or Americano.

I love this – Le Creuset’s UK site has compiled recipes that would look delightful in the Cassis colored Le Creuset stoneware and cast iron ware.
What do you think of when you think of the Cassis color? Le Creuset recommends dishes liked baked blueberry cheesecake, plum and cinnamon tart, chicken with black grape and marsala sauce and more.
I love this color and I love this concept.
Do you ever think about matching your dish to your Le Creuset? Cherry pie in cherry? Green beans in Lemongrass? Black beans in Black Onyx? I will definitely keep this in mind at our next dinner party!
Check out the Cassis matching recipes on the Le Creuset UK site.

I must follow up any Cassis mention with a Lilac mention – to me they are like twins and need to be treated equally!
So check out the same Le Creuset Mini Stoneware Cocette in Lilac from Sur la table.
Same great features as other Le Creuset mini cocettes (Microwave, Freezer, Oven- safe) but also in the brand new and gentle lilac color.
I am imagining these being used for the afternoon tea party – for individual servings, or to serve fresh made jam in – delightful.
What do you think of the lilac?!

The new Cassis color now comes in the Mini Cocette Ceramic bakeware form at Sur la table.
Use this mini dish in the microwave, freezer, or oven to prepare individual entrees or desserts. Delight your guests by showing off the new Le Creuset color, and match this up with your other Le Creuset bakeware and stoneware.
The enamel glaze will protect this mini cocette from any chips or scratches.
